Australia’s state and territorial health departments (excluding the NT) today reported 59 deaths from COVID-19 with 38,610 new cases. And 3221 people hospitalized with the virus, a reduction of 55 people. There are 105 people in the ICU, a drop of 17 patients yesterday.

NSW – Deaths: 11, cases: 11,067 (+2444). In the hospital: 1,526 (-14), with 40 (-9) people in the ICU.

Victory – Deaths: 23, cases: 10,777 (+3,019). In the hospital: 463 (-5), with 25 (-10) people in the ICU.

Queensland – Deaths: 20, cases: 5,366 (+98). In the hospital: 597 (+4), with 11 people in the ICU (-3).

South Australia – Deaths: 0, cases: 2,847 (+221). In the hospital: 235 (-11), eight people in the ICU.

Tasmania – Deaths: 1, cases: 1174 (-54). In the hospital: 38 (-7), five people in the ICU (+1).

Western Australia – Deaths: 4, cases: 5,921 (+1111). In the hospital: 229 (-17), 14 people in the ICU (+3).

ACT – Deaths: 0, cases: 1458 (+299). In the hospital: 116 (-5), with one person in the ICU.
