AFLW’s NEXT wave of talent will officially join the League on Wednesday night, and there’s only one place where you can see how history is made.
The NAB AFLW 2022 Draft will be broadcast live, free of charge and exclusively on womens.afl, the AFL Women app and the AFL Live app from 7pm AEST on Wednesday 29 June.

The official count will be complemented by the best insight and analysis from our panel of experts, with host Sarah Olle, AFLW guru Sarah Black and senior journalist Riley Beveridge.
In addition, W Show host Nat Edwards and AFLW star Bonnie Toogood will offer you all the reactions of the selected ones as their AFLW dreams come true.
AFL Women’s Instagram also offers you all the backstage action of the official feature.
It is the first draft of the 18-team era, with Port Adelaide, Essendon, Sydney and Hawthorn making history as each team selects its first player.
The expansion of the competition has seen several big outings from existing teams, and with several clubs resorting to the draft to fill the gaps.
