Halo Infinite 343 Industries developer will finally begin a public test of its long-awaited cooperative network campaign mode in July, the developer announced Thursday (via Polygon). The studio also plans to test the ability to repeat campaign missions, which was not in play at launch.
The beta version of both features is slated to take place July 11-22, according to a press release sent to The Verge. If you own the Halo Infinite campaign part or are an active member of the Xbox Game Pass, you can participate by registering as a Halo Insider. On Xbox, you’ll also need the Xbox Insider app.
You will start the campaign from the beginning
If you have already played in the Halo Infinite campaign, anything you have achieved will not be transferred. For this test, you will download a new campaign creation and start the game from the beginning. Any progress you make as a group will be transferred to the game alone, but test progress will not be transferred to the retail game when updates are officially released. However, Crossplay is fully compatible, so you can play with friends on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. Up to four players will be able to form a team at a party.
We don’t know exactly when the co-op campaign and mission replay will be publicly available, but in a roadmap released in April, 343 Industries said it aims for a “late August” launch of the functions. . According to this roadmap, an open beta of Forge mode is planned for September.
