Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has maintained confidence in the team he picked for Australia’s Rugby World Cup semi-final win against New Zealand, sticking with the same line-up for the final against Samoa.
Meninga has made no changes to his 19-man squad ahead of the title-deciding clash at Old Trafford on Sunday morning (AEDT), but confirms the same 17 will take the field against Samoa.
“I’m very happy with the attitude and performance of the 24 players throughout the World Cup, but keeping the same team for the final is a plus,” Meninga said.

“We are all very aware that our goal has not yet been achieved and we are fully aware that we are on the cusp of something that very few players have had the opportunity to do.”
