Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time
“This afternoon I had a routine PCR test that came back positive for COVID-19,” Albanese said.
“I will be in isolation and continue to work from home.

“I encourage anyone who is unwell to get tested and take any extra precautions to keep their families and neighbors well.”
It is the second time this year that Albanese has been struck down by the virus.
It is not known how many people have come into close contact with Albanese since he became infected.
He left Canberra on Friday after the final week of Parliament sittings of the year.
At the weekend he hosted the Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, at Sydney’s Kirribilli House.

He attended a packed event at former Labor Prime Minister Gough Whitlam’s family home in Cabramatta on Friday as it opened to the public after the Commonwealth Government provided $1.3 million to buy and restore the home as a national heritage building.
