All eyes are on Apple’s next mega event. From the premium series of iPhone 14 to Apple Watch Series 8, Apple fans are anticipating the major technological innovations of the smartphone giant. As if the iPhone 14 series introducing a new model of iPhone 14 Max was not enough, the brand also features three models for its popular Apple Watch series.
According to technology expert Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple will introduce three watch models and one of them could be a rugged model that could be launched as a Pro version.
Gurman, in the latest edition of his newsletter, said the Cupertino-based company will present the Pro edition with a larger screen, resistant to breakage, improved battery life and, most importantly, a case more powerful and resilient. The box will be made of non-aluminum material.
The Pro watch will feature improved hiking and swimming tracking features. According to Gurman, the new extreme sports edition could replace the current Apple Watch Edition.
“This smartwatch will be designed to appeal to extreme sports athletes and anyone who might otherwise buy a high-end Garmin sports watch for intense workouts. I also think its bigger screen, the its larger battery and metallic design will make it attractive to anyone who simply wants the most advanced Apple Watch, ”Gurman wrote in his newsletter.

According to the technology journalist, Apple plans to name the watch Pro in order to expand its product portfolio. The Apple Watch Pro will likely come with an S8 chip that is seen in the Watch Series 7 and 6 devices.
Gurman also revealed that Apple could start the Pro edition between USD 900 and USD 999 due to its advanced specifications and the high-end materials used. Today, the Swiss brand Garmin is a pioneer in offering robust, high-tech fitness watches. Many tech experts believe that Apple’s plan to introduce the Pro version of the Apple Watch could be the way Garmin takes over.
