Two fan favorites will not return to Sex Education

Two favorite characters from fans of a beloved Netflix hit have revealed they won’t be back for next season.

Details about the upcoming season of the Netflix Sex Education comedy are starting to come out, but that’s not good news.

Fan favorites Tanya Reynolds and Patricia Allison have confirmed they will not be back for the next installment.

Reynolds played Lily, obsessed with aliens, while Allison played Ola, Otis’ girlfriend. The two characters got involved Sex Educationthe last few seasons and they ended their career happily together.

Reynolds confirmed the news to Digital spy. She said, “Lily won’t be back either. I think for Lily, her story ended very well at the end of the third season. So she has no loose heads to tie, she had a pretty happy ending.

“At the end of last season, everyone is scattered, and I think it’s a good opportunity to incorporate new characters.

“I will absolutely miss you [her]. I love myself, I love Lily with all my being and I had the best time in these three seasons, and I’m sure I’ll miss her. I will miss Lily and I will miss the gang. But it seems very correct. It feels like time. “

Earlier this week, Allison told British radio station Capital Xtra: “I loved being there. Sex Education so much, so much and playing in the Wave. But unfortunately, I won’t be joining the team during the fourth season.

“Some other opportunities have arisen. I’ve been doing it for three years and I’ve really enjoyed it. “

The production of the fourth season is about to begin with a casting call for extras in the area. The series is filmed in Wales.

Created by Laurie Nunn, Sex EducationThe first three seasons were set at Moordale High School of Fiction, following the lives of its students, teachers and parents.

The series began by focusing on Otis (Asa Butterfield), a shy student who starts a sex clinic at school to answer the many questions of her confused students. Moordale closed at the end of the third season, giving the show the opportunity for a gentle creative re-establishment in the new season.

During its first three years, the series has been widely praised for its affectionate, progressive, and irreverent treatment of adolescent and adult sexuality.

The cast of the set also includes Ncuti Gatwa, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Alistair Petrie and Aimee Lou Wood, although it has not been confirmed who will return.

Star Breakout Gatwa was named in May as the 14th Doctor Doctor Whobecoming the first black actor to take the lead role in the iconic long-running series.
