WhatsApp is one of the most used applications in the world and has become an indispensable communication tool for much of the population.
Being one of the most user-friendly applications in the world, it makes sense that every update is measured to the millimeter before it is launched on the market.
One of these updates has just been released and is related to privacy.
The latest update of WhatsApp has been in the testing phase for a few months, but it has finally arrived. With this update, we can further customize our privacy options.
For example, choose who sees your profile picture, decide who can and can’t see when you last online, and who may or may not see your status.
WhatsApp enhancements
This new set of options will catch many unsuspecting users, but others will already know of its existence, as the first tests began in September 2021, and the options have been offered to some users since then.
The new system was further expanded in March 2022, albeit to a new smaller batch of users.
WhatsApp’s new privacy options are now available to all users, as long as they can update their app to the latest version.
According to WhatsApp’s Twitter account, there are also more updates.
“We’ve added some updates to a WhatsApp favorite,” they said. “When it comes to group calls, you can now mute others, send messages to specific people, and see a banner when someone joins off-screen.”
