Snapchat introduces a new dual camera feature for iOS devices

Snapchat has launched a new dual camera feature that allows users to record or take photos with both the front and back cameras. This is a very useful feature that has been welcomed by most of the Snapchat community.

It is interesting to note that Snapchat is not the first company to implement the dual camera feature. The latest social media platform BeReal had this feature for a long time, with Instagram joining the hype train in July this year.

To use the newly introduced dual camera on eligible phones, simply open the camera app, tap the dual camera option on the screen, and you’re done. It’s available for Spotlight videos, Stories, and Snaps.

In addition, the new dual camera feature offers four layouts, namely portrait, landscape, picture-in-picture and crop. While the first two are self-explanatory, the picture-in-picture mode shows a circular front-facing camera on top of the rear-view camera. Crop mode allows users to take a selfie and paste it into the rear camera image.

Additionally, Snapchat allows users to use creative tools, including music, lenses, and stickers. Right now, Snapchat’s dual camera is available for iPhone XR or later, with support for Android devices coming in the near future.

In related news, Snapchat’s revenue could see a bigger decline compared to Apple and Google.
