September 2, 2022 –
Manitoba Shared Health will set up a mobile clinic for eligible students, faculty and staff to receive the monkeypox vaccine at the Fort Garry campus.
The clinic will be located in the Education building 325 and will operate from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 6.
Due to a limited supply of vaccine at this time, people will receive a single dose of the vaccine for pre-exposure prophylaxis.

The following people are currently eligible for the monkeypox vaccine:
- Cisgender, transgender or two-spirit people who identify as gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM) and who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- having received a diagnosis of sexually transmitted infection in the last six months;
- having had two or more sexual partners in the last 90 days;
- have attended places of sexual contact (for example, baths or sex clubs) or plan to do so;
- have had anonymous sex in the last 90 days (ie using apps, online sites, formal/informal meetings) or plan to do so;
- engaging in or planning sex work, as a worker or client; or
- any sexual contact of the people described above.
