Apple aimed its new products at fitness fanatics, explorers and the health-conscious, introducing a rugged Watch Ultra and a satellite emergency SOS service for the new iPhone 14.
The £849 titanium-cased Ultra is aimed at those who take their sport seriously – outdoors and on the water. It’s also a deliberate incursion by the tech company into Garmin’s dominance of the high-end wearable market.
Apple claims the Ultra has the most accurate GPS on the market and features navigation tools, a dive computer and an emergency siren. It is larger than other watch models at 49 mm (1.93 inches) and can withstand extreme temperatures.
However, with a battery life of 36 hours on a single charge, which could be extended to 60 hours later, this
