EVE project was first announced around this time last year as part of a packed PlayStation showcase, with a 4-minute gameplay trailer showcasing a fast-paced action game set in a post-apocalyptic world filled with nasty creatures It is being developed by a Korean studio called Shift Up Corporation and at the time it was called Project EVE. However, it is no longer called Project EVE, as that name was apparently a placeholder.
Since then, crickets. nothing Nothin’. There were a lot of people comparing the game to Nier: Automata, claiming that Shift Up was kicking off the post-apocalyptic series. However, Nier director Yoko Taro loved the look of the game, with his only response to the trailer being “buy.”
to buy.

Beyond that, we hadn’t seen much else. A quick and fast game with an anime protagonist. Fortunately, today’s PlayStation State of Play, in conjunction with the Tokyo Game Show, shed new light on Project EVE with a new story trailer, a new release window, and a brand new name for Stellar Blade.
The game formerly called Project EVE is now known as Stellar Blade, with the PlayStation Blog explaining the title as “a combination of ‘Stellar,’ which means stars in Latin, and ‘Blade,’ which defines the existence of eve”. Not gonna lie folks, this one blew me away. I don’t know what that shit means. Come on, be it!
The new Stellar Blade story trailer tells how protagonist Eve (who is definitely still called Eve, not Blade, as she could be mistaken for Wesley Snipes) and her best friends head to Earth and meet Adam, who takes them to the last remaining city of humanity on Earth. , Zion (Me, someone who’s only book they’ve read is the Bible – I’m getting big biblical vibes from this).
The gameplay and visuals give me similarities on all fronts. I have a bit of Nier, a bit of Bayonetta and even a bit of Dark Souls. All in all, I like what I’m seeing and I’m excited to get my hands on it.
Outside of the very slick gameplay, other information revealed in the trailer includes that Stellar Blade will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 console and we should expect it to be released next year in 2023.
