Fabio promises the Gunners goal
Fabio Vieira promised Arsenal fans goals after completing his £ 34m move, writes JORDAN DAVIES.
And Gunners coach Edu insists this is just the beginning of the club’s big summer party.
Offensive midfielder Vieira, 22, arrives in north London from Porto with a long-term deal to become Arsenal’s third signing in the window.
And just out of a season of 14 assists in the Premier League, as well as six goals, the Portuguese under-21 international is ready to take over the Premier League.
Vieira said: “I am an attacking player who seeks to find space between the lines to be able to finish plays with assists or scoring goals.
“I think these are the main attributes that Arsenal fans can expect from me. This is an important step forward in my career. Arsenal is a huge and historic club.
“I know some very famous players have played here. Some great stars, world legends of the game, such as Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Santi Cazorla and Cesc Fàbregas. I remember them well.
“They were players who had such a presence on the pitch. That was one of the main factors I did in choosing Arsenal. I’m happy to be here in my new home. “
