It looks like Garmin and Polar will go head to head. While the former has confirmed that it will unveil a new smartwatch on November 8, Polar has noted that it will host its next launch event a day later. While Garmin has remained tight-lipped about what it plans, Polar has indicated that it will introduce a product under the tagline ‘Find Your Rhythm’.
Unfortunately, Polar hasn’t revealed any details about its upcoming device. However, leaks suggest the company will introduce the Ignite 3, a smartwatch it added to its Brazil website and smartphone app. By the way, Polar has had a quiet year, especially compared to Garmin. Currently, the Pacer and Pacer Pro are Polar’s only new smartwatches for 2022. So we wouldn’t rule out Polar introducing several smartwatches next week in time for this holiday season.
The Polar hardware event will comment at 15:00 EET or 13:00 UTC. If Polar’s teaser video is anything to go by, then the Ignite 3 will be heavily focused on wellness and low-intensity exercises like yoga and stretching. Based on updates to Polar’s app, the Ignite 3 will support voice guidance, likely during workouts, as well as other quality-of-life improvements like customizable watch faces.
