De Jong’s secret Chelsea deal
Chelsea have made a move to attack Manchester United’s stalled attempts to sign Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona, according to SPORT.
Club owner Todd Boehly met with Barcelona boss Joan Laporta earlier this month, where a deal was reached to sign Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso if De Jong moved to the ‘other side.

Leeds have released goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.
A statement read: “Leeds United and Kiko Casilla have parted ways by mutual consent. We would like to thank Kiko for his contributions during his time at the club and wish him the best of luck in the future.”
The goalkeeper still had one year left on his contract.

Chelsea medical for Slonina
Chelsea are set to complete the £12million signing of wonder keeper Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire.
The 18-year-old was cleared to fly to London, complete a medical and sign paperwork on Sunday morning.
The Blues fended off rival approaches from Real Madrid and Wolves, and will send the goalkeeper back to Chicago on loan to complete a sensational MLS season.

Xavi posts De Jong update
Barcelona coach Xavi does not know if Frenkie de Jong will be at the club after the end of the transfer window.
He said last night: “I don’t know if it is [De Jong] i will stay here There is still time and a lot can still happen.
“At the moment he is part of the team, like everyone else. The fact that in the other games he played as a central player was not a sign that he was going to leave.
