Company expects departures

Burnley’s new boss Vincent Kompany is ready for a major solution to raise funds for trading, reports James Nursey.

The Clarets are looking to return to the Premier League after relegation last season.

Goals include Blackpool winger £ 1million Jordan Gabriel, 23, who impressed in the championship last season in 25 appearances.

But Kompany has been told he must first raise funds with Newcastle interested in Burnley England goalkeeper Nick Pope.

Winger Connor Roberts, 26, and Matt Lowton, 33, can also be released along with 26-year-old midfielder Josh Brownhill, who has two years left on his contract.

Earlier this month, Burnley confirmed that Ben Mee, James Tarkowski, Erik Pieters, Aaron Lennon, Phil Bardsley and Dale Stephens will be leaving at the end of their contracts this summer.
