It’s a fire today in most parts of the island with heat advisories in place. Temperatures are forecast to reach the 30s today in places with humidex values across the board.
Meteorologist Dale Foote says people should drink plenty of water and try to stay out of the sun for long periods of time.
Heat advisories are in place for the region from Springdale through central Newfoundland to Newfoundland, with overnight lows only dropping to 18 degrees.
