HOUSTON – Thousands of residents in the Houston area are experiencing power outages as temperatures remained at 100 on Sunday night.
According to CenterPoint Energy, 3,853 customers were without electricity at 7:45 p.m.

An immediate answer is unknown as to why so many people were without electricity, but it is believed to be linked to storms moving along with the excessive heat warning issued for the Houston area.
