The Sakurajima volcano erupts for three days in a row, but there are no injuries

Kagoshima – The Meteorological Agency on Monday maintained its highest alert level following an explosive eruption the previous day at Sakurajima in Kagoshima Prefecture, although there were no reports of injuries.

The agency said late Sunday that it did not currently expect a major eruption similar to one from the same volcano in 1914 that caused a large number of deaths.
