Tottenham continued pre-season preparations with a 1-1 draw against Sevilla on Saturday afternoon.
Antonio Conte’s side took the lead at the Suwon World Cup stadium thanks to a Harry Kane goal before their lead was nullified by a magnificent effort by Ivan Rakitic in the second half.
While it wasn’t the polished, refined performance Conte might have expected, it’s another useful 90 minutes for some Tottenham players who are still adjusting to the Italian’s complex system.

For the first time in the preseason, Conte began the game with Kane, Heung Min-Son and new signing Richarlison leading their attack, while testing possible strike collaborations for next year.
Richarlison, who played his second game since joining the Spurs this summer in a £ 60million move from Everton, was the victim of a series of challenges in the first half that prevented him from finding no flow to the party.
England captain Kane thought he had broken the deadlock in the 25th minute when he beat Sevilla’s Marko Dmitrovic, but the striker was left offside before receiving the ball. Still, promising signs.
As the half-time approached, Tottenham almost lost a goal thanks to a familiar face when winger Erik Lamela threw a volley for the first time on the post before seeing it deflected.

Tottenham will face the Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday in their third pre-season game
After the break, the Spurs seemed much more comfortable in the game. The introduction of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur added a much needed quality to the midfield area and bore fruit almost immediately.
Bentancur won the ball before putting it to Heung Min-Son, who did a silky pirouette and threw a pass to Kane, with Tottenham’s number 10 without making a mistake in scoring his third pre-season goal.
His shot came in from the right hand side but Ivan Rakitic managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Rakitic that has left Hugo Lloris without possibilities.
With a perfectionist like Antonio Conte at the helm, there is still a lot of work to do for this Tottenham, who will see them face the Rangers at Ibrox next Saturday.
