An AFL star was left in pure disbelief after learning of other very strong players to take off the rival’s tiara.
Perhaps like many, Richmond star Jack Riewoldt was shocked at the news that James Sicily had been fined $ 1,000 for removing Aaron Naughton’s tiara.
Sicily was fined for “misconduct” during a fight with Naughton, during which he removed the key striker’s headband when temperament skyrocketed.
The Hawthorn star challenges the fine through a written submission to the AFL Court, but being fined in the first place surprised Riewoldt during the AFL 360 on Tuesday night.

“It had to happen and I’m very proud of James Sicily, because someone had to do it,” Riewoldt said wryly as he considered him for a “cheeky” nomination.
“Talking to Marcus Bontempelli when he’s been here, he just marches to the beat of his own drum on Naughton, which I really like.
“I wasn’t surprised that James Sicily was the man to do it.”
When he was told that Sicily was fined $ 1,000, Riewoldt was visibly baffled.
“He doesn’t! Shut up, get him up! Are you serious? You’re kidding me.”
His guest teammate, Geelong striker Tom Hawkins, was also upset by the decision
“I love that about James Sicily,” he said.
“He’s one of those players to play against, that’s not a lot of fun, you’re sure to end up with some problems.
“It’s hard to be $ 1,000.”
