Barnsley’s reward for beating Championship side Middlesbrough in the first round of the Carabao Cup is a trip to Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, while Everton, Newcastle and Aston Villa face away trips after the draw of the second round on Wednesday evening.
Josh Benson’s late strike secured a 1-0 win for the Tykes at The Riverside and they next head to Elland Road, while Everton travel to League One Fleetwood Town, Newcastle head toββββ in Tranmere and Aston Villa will face Bolton.
Elsewhere, trips to both League sides are also on the cards for newly promoted Nottingham Forest, who face Grimsby Town, and Fulham, who travel to Crawley Town.
