Barnsley’s reward for beating Championship side Middlesbrough in the first round of the Carabao Cup is a trip to Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, while Everton, Newcastle and Aston Villa face away trips after the draw of the second round on Wednesday evening.
Josh Benson’s late strike secured a 1-0 win for the Tykes at The Riverside and they next head to Elland Road, while Everton travel to League One Fleetwood Town, Newcastle head to in Tranmere and Aston Villa will face Bolton.
Elsewhere, trips to both League sides are also on the cards for newly promoted Nottingham Forest, who face Grimsby Town, and Fulham, who travel to Crawley Town.
Southampton visit Cambridge United, Brentford visit Colchester United, while Oxford United host Crystal Palace and Forest Green Rovers welcome Brighton.
Wolves are at home to Preston North End and Bournemouth visit Norwich City.
Defending champions Liverpool, along with the other six Premier League clubs competing in European competition this season, will enter the EFL Cup in the third round.
