A 35-year-old man was arrested after an elderly woman was assaulted at Kipling station

A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recent assault on an elderly woman at Kipling station.

The events took place on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:15 a.m.

According to Toronto police, a man assaulted an 85-year-old woman and then fled.

The granddaughter was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries.

Yesterday, police released images of the suspect. Kelon Peters, 35, of Toronto, was wanted for aggravated assault, fraud in connection with fees and breach of parole.

Police say he should be considered violent and dangerous and anyone who located him was urged to contact police.

Today, police arrested Peters and charged him with assault for bodily harm, fraud in connection with charges and breach of parole. He has a court appointment on July 15.
