A blast of arctic air over BC brought down temperature records on Wednesday.
Thirty-two records were broken, with two others tied, including several in Thompson-Okanagan.
More records are expected to fall on Thursday, as in Kelowna, where one has already been broken.
Environment Canada says temperatures dropped to -29 this morning, well below the previous record of -25 set in 1983.
“That speaks to how deep the arctic air really is and how much it’s seeping in, because it’s all over western Canada,” said Terri Lang, a meteorologist.
Full data on Thursday’s temperature records broken in BC will be released Friday morning
