BYO cable: Now you can charge your EV while watching a movie at a drive-in

The Dromana 3 Drive-In, located on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, claims to have become the world’s first drive-in to offer electric vehicle charging to customers.

Located at the end of the Peninsula Link Freeway, the Dromana 3 Drive-In has been an iconic attraction for Melburnians since the early 1960s. With three large screens dominating the landscape, countless Peninsula residents and visitors from Mornington they pass by the car every day.

And now, the Dromana 3 Drive-in has installed several new EV chargers made by Clayton charger manufacturer EV Up, each of which uses solar-generated electricity.

A total of 6 EV chargers have been installed, with 2 in each field, although EV owners will need to bring their own Type 2 charging cable.
