Little is known about Dannii Minogue’s love life, and that’s how she’d like to keep it.
The famous singer has managed to keep her private life strictly secret, an impressive feat given that she has been with her current partner for almost a decade.
Speaking to Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson this week, Minogue, 50, revealed that it takes a lot of effort for her boyfriend Adrian Newman to stay out of the public eye.
When KIIS FM shock jock Kyle Sandilands probed her about her ‘secret new boyfriend’, Minogue laughed: “It’s not a secret! Every time you ask me that, we’ve been dating for nine years!
“Every time someone prints a photo of him they say ‘secret man’, ‘never seen’ … he’s just not interested in anything to do with the public eye,” he explained.
“But that doesn’t stop the public wanting to know everything about him,” Sandilands objected, while Henderson praised Minogue for her commitment to keeping her private life private.
“Nine years! It’s a good effort,” he said, as Minogue revealed she requires “next-level stealth” to keep things on the down low.
Information about Newman is scarce, but he is believed to be a musician and producer who has worked with everyone from Michael Franti to The Veronicas. He and ex At Home and Away The star Minogue started dating in 2014 and was spotted at the Australian Open men’s final match that year.
Various media outlets then confused Adrian with a different musician named Adrian Sieber, frontman of Swiss band Lovebugs, prompting Sieber to come out and confirm that he was not dating sister Minogue and had never been to Australia.
“My wife thinks it’s funny, too,” he said of the mix.
Minogue and Newman were recently photographed on holiday on the Mornington Peninsula earlier this year, the Daily Mail reported.
