Grafaiai, the latest addition to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, was officially revealed

The Pokémon Company has officially revealed the next Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet: Grafaiai.

The Pokemon has been teased all week with a series of images taken by a paleo photographer of brightly colored markings in a forest.

Now, in a new video in documentary format, we finally got a look at the little painter.

Fans had speculated whether this Pokemon would be an evolution of an existing monster, although it appears to be an entirely new monster.

The documentary-style video shows a photographer setting up his cameras to capture images. If David Attenborough was narrating.

The Grafaiai’s markings give off a sweet scent that attracts other Pokemon, such as a Scatterbug in this video. Eat berries and then paint with your fingers, matching the colors of the berries. The paint is used to claim territory over other Grafaiai.

At the end, we finally get a full look at the Pokémon: a goblin-monkey hybrid of sorts with big eyes and ears, blowing paint all over the camera.

Another video tweeted by Nintendo gives us a look at Pokemon in the game. It’s a toxic monkey poison/Normal type Pokemon that attacks enemies by spitting them out.

Grafaiai will debut in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which will be released on Nintendo Switch on November 18.
