Crazy weather is the topic in Ontario this week as heat and humidity return. Heat warnings will be seen in parts of southern Ontario on Tuesday, bringing the risk of storms across the province. The threat of severe storms is high ahead of Wednesday, as storms could cause strong gusts of wind, heavy hail, heavy rains and even the threat of tornadoes. Learn more about storm risk below.

HEAT WARNINGS EMITTED FOR SOUTHERN PARTS OF ONTARIO
There are heat warnings on a stretch of southern Ontario, which includes Windsor, Toronto and Cornwall. Heat and humidity will be the subject of Tuesday, as temperatures are expected to exceed the 30-degree mark in much of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with high humidity making things feel more like the top 30 degrees.
A cold front will pose the threat of more rain and storms, especially in areas that could use additional precipitation. Storms will spread to nature in southern Ontario. Isolated storms are likely to become severe due to heavy rains, heavy hail and strong gusts of wind.

STRONG STORM RISKS IN THE PROVINCE WEDNESDAY
The boggy heat will also remain through Wednesday, with high humidity that will send humidex values back to the top 30 during the afternoon hours.
In addition to the heat, meteorologists are looking at the potential for more organized severe storms, as a higher-level trough can generate severe storms on Wednesday afternoon. Some parts of the risk area may see the possibility of rotating storms.
The system will enter Ontario from the west, with the strongest storm potential near Lake Huron and Georgia Bay as the front passes in the afternoon and evening. Storms could bring strong gusts of wind, heavy hail, heavy rain and even the threat of tornadoes.
