A bushfire emergency warning has been issued for people in parts of Perth.
The Department of Emergency Services issued a warning at 10.45am on Saturday (local time) for people in parts of Hope Valley and the naval base in the town of Kwinana and the town of Cockburn.
The warning covers people in an area bounded by Sutton Road to the north, Rockingham Road to the east, Lionel Road to the south and the coast to the west.

“You are in danger and must act immediately to survive,” the warning read.
“There is a threat to lives and homes.”
The fire started near the intersection of Rockingham Road and Lussky Road in Hope Valley.
“If the way is clear, move now to a safer location,” DFES said.
“Don’t wait and see, leaving at the last minute is deadly.
“Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
“If you cannot leave, you must prepare to take refuge in your home.

“Go to a room in your house away from the front of the fire and make sure you can escape easily.
”Choose a room with two outlets and water such as a kitchen or laundry room.
“If you’re not home, it’s too dangerous to come back.”
