iPhone users urged to update devices after Apple security breach

Apple has urged millions of iPhone users in the UK to update their devices after discovering potential security flaws in its operating software.

The US tech giant said on Wednesday it had made the updates available to iPhones, iPads, Macs and the Apple Watch to ensure users were protected from hackers.

An anonymous researcher raised concerns with Apple, and the company said it was “aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.” Apple said the update “provides important security updates and is recommended for all users.”
