Friends close to Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have confirmed that the couple have split after nine months of dating.
Comedian Davidson, 28, and reality TV royalty Kardashian, 41, have decided to be friends, according to a source who spoke exclusively to And! news.
“They have a lot of love and respect for each other,” the source said, “but found that the distance and their demanding schedules made it very difficult to maintain a relationship.”
Davidson is currently in Australia filming an upcoming comedy movie in Cairns, with Kardashian recently coming to visit.
It comes after the first one Saturday night live The star said marriage and children were “100 percent” in her sights in an interview with actor Kevin Hart.
During the podcast chat, Davidson talked about how becoming a father would be “his favorite thing.”
“(I’m) definitely a family man,” he told Hart. “My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, is that I want to have a child. It’s like my dream. It would be so much fun to dress up as a boy.”
Kardashian also hinted at her hopes for a future with him King of Staten Island actor, with sources recently telling People that they were “a very serious couple.”
The source added, however, that Kardashian found the long distance difficult while Davidson filmed his movie Wizards! under.
“The long distance has not been easy for Kim, but they are making it work. They are still very happy,” they said, adding that the SKIMS co-founder was looking forward to his return to the United States.
“Kim loved visiting Pete in Australia in July. They had been apart for several weeks and enjoyed a long weekend together,” the source said.
“Pete is still shooting, but it will be finished now in August. He has another project in the States though, so he will stay busy.”
The duo’s unlikely pairing was confirmed in November last year, and since then they’ve been causing a stir on social media with their displays of affection.
They first met when Kardashian guest hosted SNLwhere the pair shared a kiss during a skit.
In a sassy moment on Hulu’s The Kardashiansthe stunning mother-of-four said she originally pursued the comedian because of his rumored “BDE” (Big D*ck Energy).
“This is how it happened with Pete,” he began during a confessional interview on the show, per people.
“I did SNL, and then when we kissed on the scene, it was just a vibe,” and I was like, “Oh, shit.” Maybe I just need to try something different!’”
“…A few days later, I called the SNL producer and said, ‘Hey, do you have Pete’s number?’ And they said, ‘Yes,'” he said.
“I texted him. I wasn’t even thinking, ‘Oh my god, I’m going to be in a relationship with him.’ I was just thinking, ‘I heard about this BDE, I gotta get out, I gotta get my …”
Kardashian added, “I was basically DTF (to shit).”
Throughout their relationship, the couple made headlines when Kardashian’s ex-husband Kanye West made several public threats against Davidson, leading to a lengthy exchange of text messages between the two men, in which Davidson urging the rapper to “grow the f.**k up”.
Kardashian and West have four children together, who Davidson met in April of this year.
The comedian raised eyebrows in May when he was spotted with a new tattoo that fans were convinced was a reference to Kardashian and West’s children.
The ink on his neck appears to read “KNSCP,” the initials of North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Salm, 2.
