LIVE transfer news: Ronaldo exit demand at Man Utd, Chelsea face £70m fee, De Jong hint

Arsenal have reportedly not made a bid for Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo despite reports to the contrary several weeks ago.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with the Brazilian since the January transfer window as they look to bolster Mikel Arteta’s midfield.

In early July it was claimed that a move was imminent.

However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has insisted the Premier League club have not made a bid for Arthur. Instead, he could join Valencia on loan, with his parent club paying the bulk of his wages.

The 25-year-old has struggled to play for Juventus of late, with Max Allegri preferring a more robust midfield.
