Actor Dave Coulier has described the moment when he realized it could be the inspiration for ex-girlfriend Alanis Morissette’s 1995 breakup song. You should know that.

“There were a lot of familiar things out there that she and I had talked about,” she said.

“And so I started listening to him and I thought, ‘Oh, I think maybe I hurt this woman a lot.’ And that was my first thought.”
