Samsung
Samsung’s latest summer surprise is a cool and lovely shade. While the Samsung Galaxy S22 already comes in a slew of colors (including purple), it now comes in “Bora Purple,” and there’s an obvious easter egg in the product name.
“Bora” in Korean translates to purple, so this new color option for the Galaxy S22 means purple, purple. And like every other Galaxy S22, the Bora Purple shade comes with a 6.1-inch AMOLED display that’s very bright and very vibrant.
The back of the device features the triple primary camera system on the top left, while the rest is a pastel purple matte glass finish. The aluminum sides of the device also have a lavender hue.
So yes, it really is a purple Galaxy S22, and Samsung thinks it’s so nice that they’ve named it twice. The Galaxy S22 should offer a snappy experience thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor inside, and for $799.99 it will come with 128GB of internal storage.
Samsung
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 in Bora Purple lands on August 10, 2022 for $799, joining the other colors: Violet, Ghost Black, Ghost White, Green, Cream, Rose Gold, Graphite, and Sky Blue.
If August 10 rings a bell, it’s because it’s also the day of Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked. During the event, the tech giant is rumored to announce a new Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Fold, a pair of Galaxy Buds and a new smartwatch. In fact, thanks to a pre-order deal, Samsung even confirmed that there will at least be a phone, headphones and a smartwatch.
