Sharon Osbourne was hospitalized Friday evening after suffering a medical emergency in Santa Paula, California.
Osbourne had been filming his son’s TV special, “Jack Osbourne’s Night of Terror.” Jack Osbourne shared a statement about the incident via his Instagram story.
“His medical team has given him the all clear and he is now home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support,” wrote Jack Osbourne. “As for what happened to my mother, I’ll let her share when she’s ready.
Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar has confirmed the name of the person involved in the medical emergency. Authorities first responded to a medical call at the Glen Tavern Inn around 6:30 p.m. before transporting Osbourne to a local hospital for further treatment.
Variety has reached out to the Ventura County Fire Department for additional information on the incident.
The 70-year-old TV personality has continued to work since her March 2021 departure from the CBS daytime talk show “The Talk,” which came after an on-air argument with her co-host Sheryl Underwood . The row revolved around Osbourne’s defense of commentator Piers Morgan’s controversial comments about Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. The network subsequently launched an investigation into Osbourne’s conduct on the show.
Osbourne and her husband, Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, appeared in the docuseries “Sharon Osbourne: To Hell & Back,” which premiered on Fox Nation in September. “To Hell & Back” documents the aftermath of Osbourne’s departure from “The Talk” and the aftermath of the incident. The couple’s children, Jack and Kelly Osbourne, also appeared in the docuseries, along with interviews with former “The View” co-host Meghan McCain and Morgan.
