Some ‘God of War Ragnarok’ collector’s editions are missing the game entirely

Wow!

Many fans have raved about God of War Ragnarok to such an extent that they shelled out big bucks for the game’s Collector’s Edition, a giant chest with tons of extras, including Thor’s hammer.

However, something has apparently happened with shipping where quite a few of these collector’s editions don’t have the game at all.

While you shouldn’t get a physical disc with collector’s editions, you’re supposed to get a steel case and a download code for the game inside that. Even though all the other parents are there, this case and code is missing, meaning those players can’t play at all. Sometimes just the code is missing.

Those I’ve spoken to say that Sony’s customer service isn’t being very helpful and hope to have more eyes on the problem. It must be frustrating to be waiting for a release like this for four years and then be stuck in limbo after paying a lot of money for the best version. All they need is to be issued download codes, but it’s unclear how long that might take.

I’ve seen more than a few people posting about this online, but it’s unclear how many might be affected by the issue. It’s certainly odd, and not something you see often for a major release like this.

God of War Ragnarok recently had issues with retailers breaking the street date a week early, and these copies resulted in a ton of images being released online ahead of release, spoiling many important story moments . But now that the game has launched, Sony is hoping that it could be on track to set records for a PlayStation exclusive, but we haven’t gotten any firm information on its performance yet, as it’s too early.

As for this current issue with collector’s editions, let’s hope it gets resolved soon, because otherwise, it’s a lot of disheartened fans whose only recourse is to buy another copy of the game while they’ve already paid so much. . We hope Sony Santa Monica and PlayStation realize this and fix it quickly.
