Street Fighter 6 introduces Kimberly and returns Juri to the roster

Wrapping up Street Fighter 5’s grand finale at EVO 2022, Capcom took the stage and revealed that both Juri and Kimberly are joining the roster for Street Fighter 6. This second character announcement following the reveal , following Guile’s trailer at Summer Games Fest, continues to confirm previous leaks that revealed Street Fighter 6’s full roster.

Kimberly is one of the new fighters, along with Jamie. She describes herself as “in love with ’80s pop culture” and her move set looks to be one of the most varied yet.

Juri has seen a pretty significant redesign like Chun Li and Ryu, and is described as still a “thrill seeker”. Ever since the downfall of M. Bison in Street Fighter 5, he’s been searching for his next thrill. A new stage was also shown during Juri’s gameplay presentation.

Both Juri and Kimberly were revealed ahead of the Street Fighter 5 Grand Finals at EVO 2022 thanks to Capcom’s German Twitter account accidentally tweeting images of both characters ahead of the Top 8 at EVO.

Now that we’ve seen seven characters and Capcom has previously announced that they’ll be going dark for a while while they return to the studio to finish development, it’s likely we won’t see another big reveal until The Game Awards in December at the earliest . .

And with Street Fighter 6’s release date set for 2023, we’ll likely start seeing the rest of the roster confirmed in the new year, before Street Fighter 6 takes center stage at EVO 2023.
