Offers by phone and laptops

Google Pixel 6A

Photo: Google

The Pixel 6A (8/10, Wired Recommends) is our favorite Android phone. It comes with many of the perks of the high-end Pixel line, including Google’s Tensor chip, a sharp OLED display, and all the camera and AI magic that Google usually puts into its phones, in a much less expensive package.

Samsung’s mighty Galaxy (9/10, WIRED Recommends) comes in three versions: S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. But it’s the latter that has one of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen so far. It’s powerful, the battery lasts more than a day with normal use, and the bright 6.8-inch 120Hz screen will satisfy big screen lovers. Best of all, you get a 10X optical zoom camera for great close-up photos.

If you want to pay as little as possible, the Moto G Stylus 2022 (6/10, WIRED Review) is our pick for the best smartphone under $200. There’s no 5G network support or NFC for near-field contactless payments, but the battery will last you two full days of normal use, and there’s a headphone jack and MicroSD card slot. It also includes a stylus for on-screen use, if you want more precision than your fingertips.

This budget OnePlus phone (7/10, Wired Recommends) has a surprisingly large array of features for the price, including an AMOLED display (true blacks, vivid colors), all-day battery life, and excellent performance. It even includes NFC for contactless payments, a MicroSD card slot and a headphone jack. OnePlus will also provide you with security updates for three years. The drawbacks? It will only get Android 12 (making it already outdated). It only works on T-Mobile and AT&T, and with the latter carrier, you’ll only get access to 4G LTE.

Apple Watch Series 7

It’s no surprise that the best smartwatch for iPhone is the Apple Watch. While the 7 Series (8/10, Wired Recommends) isn’t the newest model, this discount makes it an attractive and more affordable option.

Even though Google is getting into the smartwatch hardware game, Samsung still makes one of the best smartwatches for Android users right now. The Galaxy Watch5 (7/10, Wired Recommends) has many fitness features that are comparable to the Apple Watch, though some, like EKG measurements, only work if you pair the Watch5 with a phone Samsung.

Laptop deals

LG Gram 16

Usually, a laptop with a 16-inch screen is cumbersome and heavy. Not the LG Gram. It’s light and thin, and doesn’t compromise on performance. This model features a 12th generation Intel Core i7 chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It’s an excellent price for these specs. The downside is the keyboard, which isn’t as satisfying to type on as it doesn’t offer a ton of key travel.

Although it’s been superseded by the M2-powered MacBook Air, the 2020 M1-equipped Air (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best cheap MacBook around, and now it’s even cheaper. It is very powerful for most tasks. We’ve even had fewer thermal issues and performance hiccups with this model than with the last one.

Asus ROG Zephyrus M16

This is our top pick if you’re looking for a gaming laptop. Yes, it’s still pretty expensive, but you get powerful specs like a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 chip, Nvidia 3070 Ti graphics card and a 1 terabyte SSD in an all-black chassis that offers plenty of ports.

Our best budget gaming laptop is also on sale right now. The 15-inch screen and plastic build won’t blow you away, but you get a Full HD panel and a 144Hz screen refresh rate to keep up with the Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti powering it.

This is our favorite gaming laptop if you’re looking for the best battery life. This model features a Ryzen 7 6800H processor, 16GB of RAM, an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, and a 512GB SSD. The wide 15-inch screen is nice, as is the 120Hz screen refresh rate, and you’ll be able to play most games on high settings at around 60 frames per second. Read more in our budget gaming laptops guide.

Apple introduced a new design with its latest MacBook Air (7/10, WIRED Recommends), which also runs on the new M2 chipset. It has plenty of power for most everyday tasks, a solid battery, and a 1080p webcam. You also get a MagSafe connector so the laptop won’t shut down if you bump into the cable. It’s more expensive than its predecessor, but this discount helps make up for it. Just remember that the chipset does not allow you to connect this machine to more than one external display.

HP HyperX Cloud Alpha

Photography: HyperX

It’s not every day you see something score a very rare 10/10 on WIRED. With an absolutely amazing 300 hours of battery life (when most of the competition gets 30-40), the HyperX Cloud Alpha will last through even the longest gaming session. Add to that rich sound quality, comfortable earcups and a decent microphone, and you’ve got the best pair of gaming headphones.

Google may be a relative newcomer to the world of headphones, but the Pixel Buds Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends) impressed us with seven hours of playtime, intuitive touch controls, and the ability to easily swap between devices. Unfortunately, they lack some features if you use them with iPhones.

These Beats headphones (8/10, wired recommendations) are especially great if you’re in the Apple ecosystem. They pair easily with iPhones and other Apple devices, have incredible Bluetooth range, and have at least 20 hours of battery life. Unfortunately, Android users may not enjoy the same battery life.

Our resident audiophile, Parker Hall, called the Galaxy Buds2 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) “the new standard in mid-range wireless headphones.” They’re comfortable, with active noise cancellation and enough water resistance to survive your workouts.

If your workouts are more intense than the average person’s, you might prefer headphones designed to keep up with you. In this regard, the Jabra Elite 7 Active is our favorite. In our tests, they fit people with very different ear sizes without falling out. They also have great noise cancellation and at least eight hours of battery life.

One of the only things we didn’t like about the Jabra Elite 85T (9/10, Wired Recommends) was the high price. With this sale, they are almost perfect. They have a comfortable design, a physical button, a wireless charging case, some of the best noise cancellation we’ve seen in headphones, and even a two-year warranty against water damage.

Offers of cameras and security cameras

GoPro Hero11

Photography: GoPro

The GoPro Hero11 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of our favorite action cameras. This model adds a taller sensor that’s great for vertical videos, if you’re into that sort of thing, and can record up to 5.3K video, though you’ll need a new phone to edit those images via the app Quik of the company. .

Security camera companies like to lock you out of subscriptions. If you want to avoid that, check out the Cam2 Pro, which includes two cameras and a hub. It’s one of our favorite outdoor security cameras, thanks to its 2K resolution and wide 140-degree field of view. Each camera also includes two-way audio and a siren to deter theft.

If you don’t want all the bells and whistles of a sophisticated (and expensive) indoor security camera, check out the Blink Mini. We gave it top marks for being cheap and compact in our guide to the best indoor security cameras. It offers good quality video, two-way audio and Alexa integration. Motion detection is accurate, but cannot distinguish between people and pets. Please note that this is an indoor only security camera and is not weatherproof.

Canon EOS-R

Photography: Canon

Ecosystem lock-in is real in the camera world, and if you’re a Canon fanatic, the EOS-R is our top pick. It’s a robust camera with satisfying machined metal parts, phase detection autofocus, and even a handy cover that pops out to protect the sensor when you change lenses.

Nikon gear sales don’t come around too often, but this is a small discount on what is arguably one of the company’s best cameras. There’s excellent dynamic range, a super-fast autofocus system, and great video quality. The interface is intuitive and the camera is comfortable to hold. The only…
