Ukrainian soldiers in the liberated city of Kherson said they have found containers filled with discarded Russian uniforms as Vladimir Putin’s troops left behind try to blend in with civilians.
Stanislav Stoikobv, head of territorial defense in the region, told The Independent that the Ukrainian military estimated that up to 15 percent of Moscow’s troops stationed in Kherson had been left behind.
On Sunday, Kherson was closed for “infiltration,” a process by which Ukrainian authorities hope to identify Russian soldiers.
Stoikobv said: “We have to find them, they have no contact with Russian troops across the river. We are worried that Russia will start shelling Kherson, but we are panicking.”
Russia could send “more cannon fodder” to Ukraine after its Kherson pushback, UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said as residents of Kherson celebrated the liberation.
He said Russia will be “concerned” and “disappointed” by the loss of Kherson, and it was important not to “underestimate” how “brutal” Moscow can be even “to its own”.

Moscow seeks to strip passports of critics not born in Russia

Ukraine has restored mobile phone services in the liberated city of Kherson, an official said.
This was announced by Yaroslav Yanushevych, head of the Kherson army.
Earlier, he said work was underway to restore gas supplies to the city and to remove mines left “almost everywhere” by Russian troops.

Repair work is underway to stabilize Kherson’s gas supply
Work is underway to restore gas supplies to the liberated Ukrainian city of Kherson, an official said.
Yaroslav Yanushevych, head of the Kherson army, said: “We have already managed to restore the supply of natural gas to more than 300 houses in the liberated settlements of the oblast.
“The engineers are managing to keep the gas supply situation in Kherson stable.
“This is especially important due to the lack of electricity and water supply in the city, as well as the onset of cold weather.”
He added that the speed of repair work depends on the removal of mines in the liberated territories.
Yanushevych has warned Kherson residents not to gather in crowded areas to celebrate the liberation while bomb disposal is underway.

Residents of Kherson have been advised not to gather in crowded places on Monday (November 14) to celebrate Russia’s liberation.

Ukraine “builds a wall on the borders of Belarus and Russia”
A concrete wall reinforced with barbed wire is being built along Ukraine’s borders with Belarus and Russia.
That’s according to Kryrylo Tymoshenko, the deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine, who revealed the plan by posting on his official Telegram account today.

Wagner’s mercenary ‘executed with a hammer’ for ‘deserting’
A Russian man has reportedly been executed with a hammer by Wagner’s group of mercenaries for expressing his support for Ukraine.
Yevgeny Nuzhin, 55, was a Russian prison inmate, serving a 25-year sentence for murder, before joining the group to fight in Ukraine.
But after he was captured by the Ukrainians in September, he told Ukrainian reporters that he wanted to fight Russia.
He was traded and then executed with a hammer with his head stuck to a block, according to reports and a graphic unverified video circulating on social media.
Wagner’s boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, writing on Telegram, joked about his death and suggested the execution was to deter other Russian convicts recruited from surrendering in Ukraine.
He wrote: “About the hammer man, this show shows that he did not find happiness in Ukraine, but received unkind but fair people.
“I think this movie is called ‘A dog has the death of a dog’. Great job by the directors, you can watch it in one go. I hope no animals were harmed during the filming.”
Wagner’s mercenaries, originally made up of veterans of the Russian armed forces, have fought in countries including Libya, Syria, the Central African Republic, Mali and Ukraine.
