Victoria Beckham is not exactly ready for her daughter to have an Instagram profile.
The former Spice Girls member shared that her 10-year-old daughter Harper Beckham is not on any social platform right now, but thinking about it worries her.
“Harper isn’t on social media, so we still don’t have to worry about that,” she explained in an interview on July 3 on Vogue Australia. “But seeing how cruel people can be, he does [concern me]. “
Reflecting on the current state of bodily shame in the online world, Victoria noted that when they cross this bridge, communication is key.
“It’s at this age where your body will start to change, but it’s about making sure we communicate a lot as a family and being surrounded by nice friends,” she shared. “But it’s pretty scary. I can’t lie.”
So Harper doesn’t spend his time writing an Instagram subtitle, but better yet: he is known to write sweet letters to his parents. In February 2021, Victoria used her Instagram story to share a note Harper wrote before going to bed.

“Dear Mom, I love you so much and you are my best friend ever,” Harper wrote. “I love when we always put on makeup together, you’re my heart and I love you. Sleep well, sweet dreams, Love Harper.”
But Harper’s words didn’t stop there. The then 9-year-old also wrote a note to his father, David Beckham, on a yellow card.
“Dear father, I hope you have a good sleep and best friends,” the letter said. “You’ve worked hard at work today and I’m very proud to love you so much. Sleep well.”
And while the world of social media may be a few years away, it looks like Harper won’t have a problem writing a post when that day comes.
