Elden Ring is full of gear. From curved blades to large shields, along with entire armor sets that dress your Tarnished like a wolf knight, there’s no shortage of equipment to enter the lands in between. But while some things scattered around FromSoftware’s desolate world are easy to find, perhaps picked from a fallen boss or buried in a random chest, others can take hours and hours to find. to acquire So we thought we’d help you out by listing some of the rarest weapons in the game and how to get them.
Like other Soulsborne games, Elden Ring has drop rates for enemies, meaning you can often use what your opponents are doing. This stat, based heavily on random number generators, makes acquiring items tedious due to the unpredictability of gear spawning. If something, like the Common Dagger, has a high drop rate, you’re more likely to find it around the Lands among or on a dead enemy. However, since some weapons have drop rates as low as 0.5 percent, you’ll likely spend a few hours farming them if you want to acquire them. It sounds like crap, but there are ways to increase the drop rate, including leveling up the discovery stat using arcanes and equipping items that multiply an item’s drop rate.
You have to increase the drop rate
Discovery is the attribute you want to pay attention to if you’re farming hard-to-get weapons. A stat that literally affects the chances of finding gear on enemy corpses, discovery starts at 100 points. Yes, you could roam the interlands with this baseline starting level, but putting runes on the arcane skill increases your discovery stat, which increases your drop rate. Additionally, you could equip the Silver Scarab and Silver Tear Mask, which increase your arcane skill (thereby increasing your discovery stat) and increase your chance of item drops. If that’s not enough, you can also use the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot consumable to further increase your discovery stat and improve the drop rate of this item for three minutes. Now it’s time to find shit.
So with that, here are four Elden Ring rare weapons with the lowest drop rates.
A sickle-shaped dagger Smol
The first, with a 0.5 percent drop rate, is the Celebrant’s Sickle. This dagger doesn’t do much damage at all, with a physical attack stat of just 79 points, but what makes this weapon special, aside from how little it can get, is its passive ability. Each successful hit will net you 10 runes. Of course, it’s the Quickstep weapon skill, an action that lets you dodge damage out of the way, which is great and useful during tense fights with multiple enemies. However, nothing compares to the fact that just attacking enemies in the lands between makes you a little richer. It feels good, man.
To get it, you’ll need to travel to Dominula, Windmill Village, a flourishing outpost on the Atlus Plateau populated by creepy dancing cultists. There are two enemies in the village dressed in tattered blue robes carrying the dagger, and those are the only two enemies worth killing here. You could fight the other cultists, who might drop Celebrant’s Kitchen or Celebrant’s Rib, but it’s the dagger you want for the rune gains. (It’s worth noting that the other Celebrant’s weapons also give you Runes.) While the Celebrant’s Scythe has a 0.5 percent drop rate, meaning you’ll spend some time farming it, there there is a Place of Grace right in front of the outpost. So all you have to do is hit that grace spot, kill the two blue clad cultists and repeat until you get it.

A hot sword made of magma
Next up is the Magma Blade, a curved sword with a one percent drop rate. It’s not that strong, it only does 96 points of physical attack damage. However, its paltry attack stat is made up for by the sword’s flashy weapon ability: Magma Shower, which spits large pools of lava onto the ground to deal continuous fire damage to an enemy. That alone makes it a pretty valuable weapon to get, even if it’s a pain to fight.
You’ll need to head to the dreaded legacy dungeon Volcano Manor to find this blade. After being transported to the lava filled place and heading to the Eiglay Temple Grace Place, just look for those snake men with the glowing sword in their right hand. Snakemen aren’t particularly tough, but since they’re holding the Magma Blade, they also make use of the Magma Shower weapon skill. So, be careful when fighting them so you don’t get burned. And again, if you don’t get the Magma Blade on the first few tries, all you have to do is respawn at the Place of Grace and try, try, try again.
A two-for-one set of noble swords
Finally, the Noble’s Stock and Noble’s Slender Sword are two weapons that can be found in the same area, but since they both have a 0.5 percent drop rate, you’ll likely find one before the other. Starting with the Noble’s Stock, this thrusting sword deals 104 physical attack damage and is paired with the Impaling Thrust throwing weapon skill. Moving on, the Noble’s Slender Sword is considered the longest straight sword in the Elden Ring, has a physical attack damage stat of 101 points, and is equipped with the quick-cutting Square Off weapon skill. Both weapons are actually average, but their low drop rate is what makes them something of a collector.
To get these swords, you must return to Limgrave. Yes, that’s right, you’ll be going back to the first areas to farm these weapons. There are other places you’ll find them, such as the legacy dungeon of the Raya Lucaria Academy or the depressing Caelid region, but the Waypoint Ruins are the best place to farm. A little way from this place of grace is a carriage pulled by trolls with some godrick soldiers and wandering nobles behind it. As you might have guessed from the weapon names, here you’re killing the nobles and that’s it. So beat their ass, pick up what they drop and repeat this process until you get the leaves. It will take a while, so be prepared.
These are just a small amount of rare weapons you can find in Elden Ring. There are plenty of others to add to your bag, including the Gilmir Glintstone Staff and the Watchdog Greatsword. Keep your eyes peeled as you navigate the Lands Between. You never know what you’ll run into.
