REHOBOTH BEACH, Del., June 18 (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden spilled his bicycle on Saturday as he paused to greet fans during a weekend trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware .
He did not appear to be injured after getting up immediately. “I’m fine,” Biden, 79, said after the crash, which occurred in front of reporters. “I got my foot in the door,” he said.
The president, who was wearing a bicycle helmet, said the toe cages on his bike should be removed after his foot was hooked before he could balance.
