Twitter Spaces, the platform’s audio chat room feature, is getting a makeover. The social media platform confirmed that changes are underway and that they are working on a new Twitter Spaces tab in the app, but did not reveal any information about it. But some images revealed the company’s plans to group Spaces based on common interests like music.
A report from TechCrunch suggests that spaces may also get the “Your Daily Digest” treatment, which, as you might expect, will be a collection of spaces from people you already follow or want to listen to. While Twitter didn’t say the images shared by TechCrunch were fake, they noted that they were indeed outdated and inaccurate.
Twitter told TechCrunch that the changes reflected an “early version” of the new experience and that it could change in the coming days. While the company said it will announce the changes in the near future, there’s no timeline for if and when they’ll be implemented.
A couple of months ago, Twitter made it easier for those using Spaces to see information like who’s hosting it and what topics are being discussed in the Spacebar.
