Argentina play Poland in the two teams’ final Group C match at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this evening.
Poland go into this match top of Group C with four points, having played out a 0-0 draw with Mexico in their tournament opener, before beating Saudi Arabia 2-0 when Robert Lewandowski scored his first goal in the World Cup final.
Meanwhile, Argentina began their campaign with a shock 2-1 defeat to the Saudis, before bouncing back with a 2-0 win over Mexico, with captain Lionel Messi scoring once in each game, for put them to three points.
Neither Poland nor Argentina have booked their place in the round of 16 yet, but a win for either would guarantee them a place in the round of 16, unless Argentina win and Saudi Arabia edge Mexico by a bigger marker A draw would also send these two teams through if the Saudis draw with Mexico.
